We are often asked by both high school students and parents how our HSC Mentoring Courses are structured – so here are more details! Our students receive skills training on basic colouring techniques using pencils and markers, as well as sewing, design principles, colour and figure type theory, basic pattern making and alterations, advice of fabric and materials sourcing.

They also learn manual drawing using a figure template and they may also learn basic Adobe illustrator drawing or advance to drawing the figure manually. To maximise learning, our students receive significant one-on-one attention from teachers who are both skilled educators and have excellent trade skills and experience. Their skills are assessed and they are allowed to progress at their own pace.

HSC mentoring for major works and high school students is run as a Saturday or evening program during the College semester and is part of our Short Course program. It’s a great way to get your foot on the door of the fashion industry! Click here to learn more or call (02) 9449 1450 to speak to one of our teachers.
