HSC Mentoring

The HSC sewing tutoring is offered as part of our short course program and is run as a Saturday or evening program during our Sydney college’s semester. These sessions guide high school students towards better crafting various garments through the use of design and sewing techniques.

Students receive training to improve their skills in pattern making, garment construction, illustration, layout of mood boards and portfolio presentation, all geared to the area of speciality they have chosen for their major work.

The HSC sewing tutoring program is an ideal head start for a student contemplating a career in fashion design.

The student’s skills will be evaluated and a program will be tailored accordingly.

• Principles and elements of good design
• Basic pattern making to personal measurements
